Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
Are you a CPA?
Yes! I am a proud CPA. If we work together, I am always happy to provide you my certification number and credentials by request.
Is my business too small for bookkeeping?
Absolutely not! If you are reporting a profit or a loss from your business on your taxes (which you should be) you can and should consider bookkeeping. Good money habits are much easier to implement while your business is small.
How much are your services?
Monthly packages start at $350/month and quarterly packages start at $675/quarter ($225/month) and vary based on your complexities and needs. This includes all fees associated with the accounting software.
When we work together to implement good systems and integrate new technologies, it allows most clients to fall into this minimum while still delivering high quality and accurate data.
What if my books are behind or I don’t currently have any books?
That’s okay! If you need to be caught up for the year on bookkeeping, rates start at $500. From there, you can continue to DIY your bookkeeping or choose a monthly or quarterly package.
Do you prepare income taxes?
I no longer prepare income taxes, but I will work directly with your tax accountant. While I come from a tax background and implement that strategy into my work, my heart just isn’t in taxes. Taxes are becoming increasingly complicated and I feel my clients are best suited using a tax practitioner who purely focuses on taxes (shoutout to all the amazing tax accountants out there!). But with my background do you have questions on how to register your business, form an LLC, pay estimated tax payments, what you can and can’t write off, and what to do when you hire help? I've got the answers!
What will you need access to in order to do my books?
We need online access to banks, credit cards, PayPal, Square and your invoicing system (if separate). Generally, banks allow a read-only option for accountants with much more limited access than you would have.
This access allows us to find information that can be found within these banks/platforms without bothering you, and the ability to pull your monthly statement.
